Parliament at Work

Here we can see Parliament in session on December 21, 2004.  When a House is in session, a blue pennant flies from the third-story flag pole on their side of the building.

The TV-2 helicopter was on hand to provide aerial coverage.

The police enjoy a day out on the town.

Parliament members and observers pack the House of Ministers, awaiting the Emperor's arrival to open the session.  Foreign dignitaries in the gallery are (clockwise from bottom-left) Commodore Fix-it, General McLellan, and Admiral Wallace of Octan and President Loek of Eilos.

All listen in rapt attention as Emperor Corey I gives his opening speech and presides over the election of the new Prime Minister.

After the opening formalities, Officer Hawk, the new Prime Minister, leads the House of Ministers in considering legislation.

At the same time, Crown Prince Corey II has led the Lords across the foyer and in to their chamber to begin their own work.
